LiDAR-equipped trims are expected to start at 160,000 yuan (23,800 USD). Pre-sales of the refresh have opened in China, where it’s also known as the EZ-60, but final pricing is currently unannounced. The CX-6e is the second new-energy (NEV) model in Mazda’s China lineup, with the first being the 6e sedan, or the EZ-6 in China. The refreshed SUV, which was announced at the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show, is offered with pure EV and range-extended EV (EREV) powertrains. Built and developed by the Changan-Mazda joint venture (JV), the CX-6e is based on Changan’s EPA1 platform and is closely related to the Deepal S07. What’s new with the CX-6e The biggest addition here is the new roof-mounted LiDAR unit, which Mazda says gives the CX-6e advanced L2 assisted-driving capabilities, covering over 200 “assisted driving scenarios”. It’s paired with three mmWave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 11 cameras. The new CX-6e with LiDAR. It can also overtake slower cars on its own with autonomous lane changes. In urban driving, the automaker says the CX-6e’s assisted driving system can now tackle intersections and roundabouts without user input, and can perform U-turns on its own. It can also drive between parallel main and side access roads and make emergency lane changes to avoid obstacles. Mazda says the new LiDAR-assisted system covers speeds from 0 to 130 km/h on the highway, and 0 to 80 km/h in urban scenarios. The system also lets the CX-6e perform remote, automated, and path-following parking manoeuvres. The automaker hasn’t disclosed the names of any suppliers behind the new LiDAR system. Meanwhile, the CX-6e’s platform-mate, the Deepal S07, offers Huawei’s LiDAR-equipped “Qiankun” ADS assisted driving system on its top trims. More on the CX-6e The CX-6e currently retails for 119,900 to 166,900 yuan (17,600 to 24,500 USD) in China, with EV trims commanding a premium of around 10,000 yuan (1,500 USD) over EREV trims. LiDAR-equipped trims are expected to start at 160,000 yuan (23,800 USD). The interior of the CX-6e. Inside, the CX-6e departs from Mazda’s screen-light, button-heavy cabin design, instead featuring minimal buttons and a 26.45-inch 5K infotainment screen that stretches from the centre to the passenger’s side. The driver gets a 50-inch heads-up display (HUD), with a 100-inch HUD as an optional extra. Mazda says it has focused heavily on aerodynamic efficiency, giving the CX-6e nine ducts around the hood, bumpers, and sail panels to reduce drag. Coefficient of drag (Cd) is brought down to 0.258 Cd, which is comparable with rivals like the Xiaomi YU7 (0.245 Cd) and the Xpeng G9 (0.272 Cd). The front and rear of the CX-6e. EV trims feature a 77.94 kWh LFP pack from CALB, good for a CLTC range of 585 to 600 km. It powers a single 190 kW (255 hp) rear motor and reaches a maximum speed of 185 km/h. 3C fast charging is available, allowing a 30-80% charge in 15 minutes. EREV trims, which place a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated 72 kW (97 hp) range extender at the front, achieve the same top speed with the same 190 kW (255 hp) rear motor. A smaller 31.73 kWh LFP pack from CATL–Changan allows for 200 km of CLTC range. The right side of the CX-6e. The CX-6e measures 4850/1935/1620 mm and has a 2902 mm wheelbase. Curb weight ranges from 2048 to 2180 kg, depending on trim and powertrain. Chassis-wise, McPherson struts are used on the front, and multi-link suspension is seen at the rear. Domestic deliveries of Mazda’s EZ-60 (CX-6e) from September 2025 to July 2026.Source: China EV DataTracker According to China EV DataTracker, Mazda delivered 2,929 CX-6e (EZ-60) units domestically in July 2026. Together with the 6e (EZ-6), NEV models make up over half of Mazda’s China sales figures, making it one of the few joint ventures to sell more NEVs than ICE cars in China.
