Gasgoo Munich-Gasgoo reported on April 15 that JD.com launched its "Robot Ambulance" service. It provides maintenance for humanoid robots, quadrupeds, and AI companions. Services include basic repairs, fault diagnosis, battery swapping, testing, cosmetic maintenance, and equipment recycling. The service is currently operational in Beijing. JD plans to expand its on-site repair network to over 50 core cities in China within three years.Notably, JD has extended on-site repairs to Europe, including the UK and Germany. It plans to expand into North America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Deploying localized "Robot Ambulances" overseas allows JD to fix units locally. This avoids shipping units back to China, cutting after-sales costs.Amid the rapid growth of the global robotics sector, JD is expanding its after-sales network. It introduced a "120" standard for robot service. This pledges a one-minute response, two-hour arrival for on-site repairs, and same-day completion.Source: JD LogisticsOn November 8 last year, Gasgoo reported JD signed an agreement. It will build its "Langzu" Robot Global Smart Factory in Wuxi, Jiangsu. Located in Xidong New City, the 100-mu site will become JD's first global super factory for intelligent logistics robots. The facility will feature a fully intelligent production workflow. This covers the chain from core component manufacturing and body assembly to software integration. Once completed, it will be JD's largest automated robot production base. The Wuxi government and JD Group emphasized combining the city's industrial ecosystem with JD's "super supply chain." This aims to drive deeper AI application in logistics.
