Welcome to the weekly AutoGuide update letting you know what we've got in the garage for testing. After last week's rugged Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter, we're swinging the other way with the ultra-swanky 2025 Cadillac Escalade iQ. Yes, the brand's icon has gone electric. Like all the other big, battery-powered GM models, this one doesn't share a platform with its gas-powered sibling, instead riding on the BT1 (nee Ultium) platform. The exact battery capacity is unknown; it's over 200 kilowatt-hours, but that's all we've got. That does give the Escalade iQ a massive range to match its massive size: displaying 99-percent charge on pick up, the screen suggested a 460-mile (740-kilometer) range. 2025 Honda Civic Sport Touring Sedan: All the Details 2025 Cadillac Escalade iQ Motors: 2x electric motors Outputs: 750 hp, 785 lb-ft Drivetrain: AWD Transmission: 1AT Range: 460 mi / 740 km Ah yes, the screen(s). The iQ has a 55-inch, pillar-to-pillar screen, encompassing the instrument cluster, central touchscreen, and a dedicated passenger display. Then there's a separate screen on the center console for climate controls or, as we learned when we first parked the behemoth, a display with sliders to open the (power-operated) doors. Because pulling a handle is so passé. Second-row passengers also get a massive center console with a similar screen and dual-wireless-charger layout. On our brief drive home, the first impression is how easy it is to drive this 224.3-inch (5,697-millimeter) SUV, thanks in no small part to the standard rear-wheel steer, which angles the rear wheels up to 10 degrees to aid low-speed maneuverability. Then we saw the sticker price: as-tested this Raven Black model is $197,904 CAD, or $164,705 in America (both including destination). What do you want to know about the 2025 Cadillac Escalade iQ?
