Chevy's New Silverado Has a Screen-Laden InteriorChevroletChevy has revealed the 2027 Silverado 1500, and its interior looks far more modern than before. All Silverado trucks feature a 16.3-inch center touchscreen and a 12.2-inch digital gauge cluster; the ZR2 and High Country add a standard 11.5-inch front passenger screen. The ZR2 features red interior accents and forged carbon trim, while the High Country has exclusive tan accents and real wood trim.A new Chevrolet Silverado is a big deal. It's the second-bestselling vehicle in the United States, after all. While much of the focus for the fifth-generation truck will be on the two new small-block V-8 engines, the Silverado has also received a significant interior overhaul, looking far more modern and luxurious than ever before.ChevroletThe cabin is centered around new digital displays, with all Silverado models featuring a huge 16.3-inch center touchscreen, which sits within a parallelogram-shaped bezel that holds a physical volume knob too. Linked to this display is the 12.2-inch digital gauge cluster, which forms a relatively thin rectangle. The main display is notably larger than in the outgoing truck, which uses a 13.4-inch touchscreen starting on the mid-tier LT (lower trims make do with a 7.0-inch screen).AdvertisementAdvertisementThe ZR2 and High Country trims also come standard with an 11.5-inch screen for the front passenger. A head-up display and digital rearview-camera mirror are also standard fare. Chevy boasts that ZR2 and High Country owners have access to over 60 inches of digital displays. The center touchscreen sits above the air vents and, thankfully, physical climate controls and buttons for towing and the all-wheel-drive system. Below that switchgear are two angled slots for wireless charging.ChevroletEach Silverado trim gets a unique interior treatment. The off-road ZR2 model features Torch Red accents around the side air vents, as well as a red stripe on the dashboard and the center of the seats. Torch Red also appears on the seatbelts and the stitching throughout the cabin. You'll spot forged carbon-fiber trim on the doors and center console, the first time General Motors has used the material, a look that originated in Lamborghinis and has now trickled its way down to pickup trucks. Chevy also fits the ZR2 with all-weather floor liners. The Trail Boss (pictured below) isn't as snazzy as the ZR2, but it still gets a few special touches to distinguish it as an off-road-capable model. The seatbelts are lined with Torch Red accents, there is red stitching on the doors and steering wheel, and the seats get a unique perforation pattern.ChevroletStepping up to the High Country brings truly luxurious environs. Two color themes are available, light or dark, and the center console features a debossed High Country on the available microfiber suede insert. The seatbelts trade the sporty red look from the off-road trims for Natural Tan accents, and the stitching on the doors, dashboard, center console, and steering wheel is also tan.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe High Country features real wood trim on the center console, with Tritan Satin accents throughout. The seats have a unique design with the light-colored leather wrapping around the seatbacks, the shoulders, and the headrests. Interestingly, the High Country is also the first Silverado to feature a panoramic sunroof. The 2027 Silverado 1500 will reach dealers at the end of this year with an array of trims, from the base Work Truck to the decadent High Country and rugged ZR2. We won't know how much the new Silverado will cost until later this year, but we expect prices to rise slightly. The 2026 Silverado starts at $38,345 for the Work Truck, while the High Country costs $65,795.➡️ Skip the lot.
