Here Are Some of the Cars We Recognized From the ‘Grand Theft Auto VI’ Extended LookAccording to Rockstar, the August 27, 2026 release of the roughly 26-minute Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look used PlayStation 5-captured footage to showcase Leonida, Vice City, and Jason and Lucia's criminal underworld. It also gave car people a familiar problem: identifying real vehicles that Rockstar has deliberately turned into fictional ones.No official source has identified the real-world vehicles or provided model names for those shown in the presentation. That leaves the detective work to frame-by-frame comparisons, where a grille, roofline, light signature, or wheelbase can suggest a real car even when the finished design borrows from several sources. The Luxury Cars Are Easier To SpotThe black SUV in the VIP airport-convoy sequence looks very much like a Rolls-Royce Cullinan. The real Cullinan Black Badge Series II, announced on May 7, 2024, uses a 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 producing 600 PS and 900 Nm, with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. As Rolls-Royce's then-CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös put it, "Cullinan is luxury in its purest form blended with perfect practicality and off-road capability." That is a remarkably polished way to describe an SUV that may spend its digital life fleeing gunfire.AdvertisementAdvertisementA Lando Rover Discovery can also be seen. Land Rover introduced the seven-passenger Discovery in 1989; in the U.S., its base price is $64,900, excluding the $1,850 destination and handling fee. The tall luxury SUV in the footage may resemble one of those product families. The Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG and Mercedes-Benz CL65 AMG comparisons are also plausible. Mercedes-Benz's 2018 U.S. S65 Sedan had a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12, 621 hp at 4,800–5,400 rpm, 738 lb-ft from 2,300–4,300 rpm, rear-wheel drive, a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS transmission, and a claimed 4.2-second sprint to 60 mph. Mercedes-Benz lists the 2003 CL65 AMG at 612 PS, or 450 kW, and 1,000 Nm. Its stated top speed was 155 mph.The Performance Cars Are Definitely Harder to Pin DownA red convertible in the Extended Look strongly hints at the BMW 3-Series E30 Cabriolet. The E30-generation 3 Series was produced between September 1982 and February 1994; its BMW-engineered convertible variant entered production in March 1986 and remained available until April 1993.The BMW M2 is another match. BMW's latest reference point is the 2027 M2 with M xDrive, scheduled for late summer 2026 after production begins in August at San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Its 2,993-cc, 24-valve inline-six makes 473 hp at 6,250 rpm and 443 lb-ft between 2,700 and 5,620 rpm. BMW lists 0–60 mph in 3.6 seconds, or 3.3 seconds with one-foot rollout, and a top speed of 155 mph that rises to 177 mph with the M Driver's Package. Pricing starts at $73,600 plus $1,350 destination and handling. "The new BMW M2 with M xDrive opens the next chapter in the story of an icon," said BMW M development chief Alexander Karajlovic.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe Subaru BRZ / Toyota GR 86 can also be spotted if you look carefully. In this works, it's a four-door sedan with stronger visual ties to an Alfa Romeo Giulia. The real GR86 uses a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter boxer four-cylinder making 228 hp and 184 lb-ft. Toyota lists U.S. pricing from $31,400 for the base car, $34,000 for Premium, and $36,365 for the Yuzu Edition, with manual versions rated at 20 mpg city, 26 highway, and 22 combined. A manual car reaches 60 mph in 6.1 seconds; the automatic takes 6.6.The Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 is also there in some shape or form, too. There's definite R32-generation influence in the street-race car. The Nissan's R34 GT-R was launched in 1999, following the R34 Skyline's 1998 introduction. A 2000 V·spec II used the 2,568-cc twin-turbo RB26DETT inline-six, rated at 206 kW, or 280 PS, and 392 Nm.There also seems to be a car heavily inspired by the Chevrolet Corvette C8. The fictional Invetero Coquette D10 resembles the C8, but there's also a car in-game that resembles the C7. The real C8 Stingray debuted for 2020; the 2026 model starts at $70,000 and uses a 6.2-liter LT2 V8 with 490 hp and 465 lb-ft, or 495 hp and 470 lb-ft with the Z51 package. Chevrolet quotes 2.9 seconds to 60 mph, an 11.2-second quarter-mile, and a 194-mph track speed.Grand Theft Auto VI arrives November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar says digital pre-loading begins at local midnight on November 12. Until the game settles the arguments itself, these cars remain educated guesses, which is exactly what makes spotting them enjoyable. In GTA, even the automobiles have alibis.GTA 6 Extended Look: Every Real Car SpottedRockstar's 26-minute "Extended Look" trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI, released on Netflix on August 27, 2026, is packed with vehicles that closely echo real-world cars. As always, Rockstar swaps in its own fictional brands (Bravado, Declasse, Vapid, and so on), but the inspiration is easy to spot. Here's every car fans have flagged so far.Muscle Cars & American Classics1970 Chevy Chevelle-style red muscle car (one of the game's hero cars)Dodge Challenger lookalikeDodge Charger lookalikeChevy Camaro ZL1-style muscle carConvertible Chevy Camaro lookalikePurple C7 Corvette lookalikeSUVs & TrucksDodge Durango-style SUVBuick Roadmaster-style wagonLifted Ford F-150-style pickupRam 1500-style pickupRange Rover-style SUV (new-gen)Chevy Suburban-style SUVToyota RAV4-style crossoverBMW X5-style SUV (third-gen)Mercedes G-Wagen-style off-roaderLarge Lincoln-style SUV"Scoop" branded delivery van, styled after real commercial vansSports Cars, Sedans & SupercarsBMW E30 3 Series-style red convertible (in-game name: Sentinel)W212 Mercedes E-Class-style black sedan (driven by Lucia in a chase scene)Audi A4-style sedanAudi TT-style coupe10th-gen Honda Accord-style sedanHigh-performance Cadillac-style sedanPink Lamborghini-style supercarRed Acura NSX-style sports carFerrari 488 Pista-style supercarYellow Ford Crown Victoria-style taxiImports & Street RacersModified coupe resembling an R34-generation Nissan Skyline GT-RAssorted heavily modified Japanese street racers (early-2000s tuner style)
