The event featured the official launch of the Shangjie Z7 & Z7T, priced at 219,800 yuan (31,900 USD), positioning it just 100 yuan (15 USD) below the new Xiaomi SU7. The Aito M6 made its official debut at 259,800 yuan (37,700 USD), while HIMA’s first MPV—the Luxeed V9—appeared with a presale price of 399,800 yuan (57,900 USD). The new Aito M9 was announced with a presale starting at 499,800 yuan (approximately 72,400 USD), with the flagship Aito M9 Ultimate extended edition teased at 669,800 yuan (97,100 USD). Aito M6: new contender in mid-size SUV segment New Aito M6. The Aito M6 is positioned as a five-seater with body dimensions of 4,960mm in length, 1,985mm in width, and 1,736mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950mm. The interior offers nearly 2m of lateral space for passenger comfort. The model continues Aito’s family design language with streamlined styling targeted at younger consumers. Pure electric variants feature a mesh-patterned front bumper, while the extended-range version adopts a bar-style design for differentiation. Inside, the M6 features bright two-tone colour schemes in white, red, and orange. The front passenger area includes a magnetic tempered glass “Inspiration Window” for personal items, integrated with three e-ink screens that can sync with smartphone photos. The centre console houses a retractable and rotatable central screen, controllable via voice commands from all seating positions. The vehicle runs on HarmonyOS Cockpit 5.0, complemented by a 26.1-inch W-HUD head-up display and dual wireless charging panels. The M6 comes standard with Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving ADS 4.1 High Edition, featuring 36 sensors, including an 896-line dual-optical-path image-grade LiDAR. Safety is paramount with an 11-horizontal, 11-vertical body structure, 83.62% high-strength materials, and 44.76% hot-formed materials in the passenger cabin. Both extended-range and pure electric versions employ front and rear dual-motor layouts, with maximum power outputs of 160 kW (215 hp) and 180 kW (241 hp), respectively. The extended-range variant offers 37 kWh or 53 kWh battery pack options, while the pure electric version comes with a 100 kWh battery pack. Luxeed V9: HIMA’s first MPV entry Luxeed V9 As Luxeed’s third model and HIMA’s inaugural MPV, the vehicle measures 5,359mm in length, 2,009mm in width, and 1,879mm in height with a 3,250mm wheelbase. The front fascia features a closed grille with through-type LED daytime running lights and an illuminated brand emblem. The vehicle debuts new-generation DLP intelligent projection headlights supporting ground light projection, turn assistance, and customizable welcome lighting sequences. Interactive side door light carpets, triggered by millimetre-wave radar sensing user approach, automatically activate welcome lighting, open doors, and rotate second-row seats. The interior design shows similarities to the Maextro S800, featuring a front-row “Universe” triple-screen setup with two 17.2-inch displays at 3.4K resolution and 21:10 aspect ratio. A 21.4-inch ceiling-mounted entertainment screen with 8-position tilt adjustment serves second-row passengers, alongside a detachable control panel for rear climate and media adjustment. A 10.9-litre constant-temperature refrigerator maintains cooling for 12 hours after power disconnection. The second-row dual zero-gravity seats support up to 123-degree adjustment with one-touch linkage of backrest, leg rest, and footrest. The seats feature mechanical massage and active side wing support, with rotation capabilities at 45, 90, and 180 degrees for flexible space utilisation. Built on Huawei’s TuLing platform, the V9 employs front double-wishbone and rear H-arm multi-link all-aluminium suspension with dual-chamber air springs and CDC continuous variable damping shock absorbers. Rear-wheel steering with ±7-degree angles reduces the turning radius to 5.35m, enhancing manoeuvrability for the 5.3m-plus MPV. The powertrain features a 1.5T Huawei Snowy Owl intelligent extended-range system with 115 kW (154 hp) maximum power from the range extender. The highest configuration offers a 53kWh battery pack with CLTC combined range exceeding 1,250km. Safety provisions include 13 airbags with a “follow-protection” concept. Second-row seats integrate full-dimensional wrapping airbags that adjust position according to seat angle and occupant posture, deploying in U-shaped structures during side impacts or rollovers to protect head, neck, and chest. New Aito M9 New Aito M9 The new Aito M9 expands its dimensions by 55mm in length, 27mm in width, 45mm in height, and 15mm in wheelbase, reaching 5,285mm × 2,026mm × 1,845mm overall. The cabin retains the triple-screen layout—a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, 17.2-inch centre screen, and 17.2-inch front passenger entertainment screen—but with narrower bezels and improved display clarity. Door trim panels receive upgraded wood grain finishes, and the wireless charging area partition supports elevation adjustment for foldable smartphones. Intelligent driving hardware now encompasses six LiDAR units: one Huawei-developed 896-line front-facing main radar, one cabin radar, and four solid-state radars distributed across the body. High-position side cameras and side-sensing units were added at the C-pillar position. The new M9 features a fully active suspension system integrating dual-chamber air springs, CDC shock absorbers, and rear-wheel steering. The system fuses with forward-facing perception, using preview recognition technology to anticipate road conditions ahead. Both pure electric and extended-range variants receive new CATL ternary lithium battery packs. Extended-range models continue with dual-motor all-wheel drive, with front motor power increased to 220 kW (295 hp) and rear motor to 277 kW (371 hp), paired with 60 kWh or 75 kWh battery options. Pure electric variants feature the same 220 kW (295 hp) and 277 kW (371 hp) motor combination with a 120 kWh battery pack. The Aito M9 Ultimate extended edition, teased at the event, will exceed 5.4m in length with an “Ultimate” D-pillar badge and illuminated shield-shaped logo, offering flexible 4, 5, or 6-seat configurations. Since its 2023 launch, the Aito M9 has accumulated over 280,000 deliveries. However, with competitors including the Zeekr 9X, Nio ES9, and new Li Auto L9 Livis intensifying pressure in space, performance, and charging infrastructure, Aito has responded with this new M9. HIMA’s self-reported sales figures until February. Generally speaking, car manufacturers announce their sales figures for the previous month at the beginning of each month, but HIMA has yet to release its March sales data. According to data from the China Passenger Car Association, its March sales were 26,582 units, which is actually lower than its February figure of 28,212. This is quite rare among Chinese automakers; while most companies see poor sales in February due to the Spring Festival, they typically experience a rebound in March. HIMA’s March sales were truly not good, which is likely why they are reluctant to go public with the numbers.
