This SUV also adopts traditional door handles that replace the hidden construction used by the current overseas version. The Geely EX5 electric crossover entered the Chinese market under the Galaxy E5 name in 2024. It is a compact five-seat car aimed at urban commutes. According to China EV DataTracker, Geely EX5 delivered 24,150 units from January to May 2026. It is also at the spearhead of the brand’s development in foreign markets. The new model boasts a LiDAR sensor on the roof, hinting that it will adopt the G-ASD G-Pilot H5 assisted driving system capable of the Navigate On Autopilot (NOA) function on urban roads and highways. Other highlights of the EX5 include side cameras on front fenders and an additional camera integrated in the roof spoiler. The updated Geely EX5 The Geely EX5’s charging port was moved from the front fender to the rear. It seems that the drive type of this model was also changed from FWD to RWD. Dimensions of the EX5 are 4636/1920/1670 mm. The wheelbase reaches 2,750 mm. For clarity, the updated model is 21 mm longer than the ongoing variant. Approach and departure angles of the EX5 are 16 and 20 degrees, respectively. The car rides on 18-inch or 19-inch wheels. The curb weight lies between 1,750 kg and 1,830 kg. The updated Geely EX5 adopts a single TZ184QY301 electric motor in the rear axle with a peak power of 245 kW (329 hp). It offers 114 hp more than the ongoing model. The car’s top speed rose from 175 km/h to 201 km/h. An electric motor is powered by an LFP battery. Its capacity has yet to be revealed. It is worth noting that the EX5 adopts traditional door handles, as hidden construction will be restricted in 2027.
