The original Acura NSX gets credit for being the first car to blend supercar performance and daily-driver reliability. The mid-engined machine delivered Ferrari-matching acceleration and handling, but it also had Honda quality. Even Hondas, though, need repairs sometimes, and now the Japanese automaker has just made getting parts for your NSX a little easier. It will sell official reproduction parts for the OG NSX starting this summer. Even The Daily Driver Supercar Needs New Parts Acura We know, Acura can't possibly have been around long enough to merit a Heritage Parts department, right? Bad news. 2026 marks the 40th anniversary of the Acura brand, and so launching the Honda Heritage Works and Honda Heritage Parts departments makes a lot of sense. There will be two parts of the Honda Heritage Works business. The first is Honda Heritage Parts, and that's the one coming to the US. It will sell parts for Honda and Acura "sports models," which for the US market starts with the NSX.Acura Honda will offer two lines of Heritage parts: Genuine Honda Heritage Reproduction Parts and Genuine Honda Heritage Compatible Parts. The former are made using the same materials and manufacturing as the originals. The latter are newly redeveloped and built parts that are Honda-approved but couldn't be made the old way.The second part of the business is the Honda Restoration Service. That's a Japan-only service where Honda techs will rebuild your NSX using Honda parts to make the car like new. Honda has rebranded its Gran Turismo-sounding Refresh Center to Honda Heritage Works Takanezawa, and it will do more thorough restorations. Owners can get basic engine and suspension refreshes, or a complete full vehicle restoration. Heritage Parts From Your Local Dealer Acura "In this 40th anniversary year of the Acura brand, the launch of Honda Heritage Parts is especially meaningful, giving Acura enthusiasts the support they need to continue enjoying their first-generation Acura NSX," said Steven Bailey, vice president of Honda and Acura Parts, Service and Technical Division. "At its core, the new Honda Heritage Parts program honors our shared passion for these iconic vehicles and helps ensure they can be enjoyed by future generations."Honda and Acura will announce the first parts later this year. The company said that it is still working on what other models and parts might get the factory repop treatment. The parts will be sold over the counter at Acura dealers. Don't expect many of these new NSX parts to be in stock, but being able to buy them at all without scouring the internet is a serious plus.On the heritage parts site for Japan, Honda already lists components like engine blocks, camshafts, and new leather armrests. You know, the important stuff. New water pumps, pedals, and airbags are also on the list, which should grow in the coming months and years. If Honda doesn't sell the part you want yet, you might not be completely out of luck. The company is also taking requests. A request doesn't mean they'll make it, but it does give Honda a database. If the same part pops up enough times, there's a good chance it will get made.
