Aston Martin’s Newest Vehicle May Only Have Two Wheels, but It’s Got Nearly as Much Power as a MiataCar and DriverJack FitzgeraldWed, September 9, 2026 at 3:40 PM UTCAdd us on GoogleAston Martin's AMB 002 Is a Road-Legal SuperbikeAston MartinAston Martin and Brough Superior partnered to create the AMB 002, the first road-legal motorcycle to carry the Aston Martin standard. The new superbike follows a similar partnership between the two brands that resulted in the track-only AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro.Production of the AMB 002 will be limited to just 300 units globally, with the first deliveries scheduled for late 2027.Historically, the supplier of go-fast-mobiles for the likes of James Bond, Aston Martin seems to be targeting Ethan Hunt as its next international spy of choice. The British automaker just revealed the AMB 002, the first road-legal motorcycle to bear the Aston Martin name.Road-legal is the key there, because, believe it or not, the AMB 002 isn't actually the first motorcycle from Aston Martin, but rather the third. The first two were both track-only motorcycles that wore the names AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro. Like the AMB 002, they were both collaborations between Aston Martin and Brough Superior. The 001 arrived in 2019, with the Pro following behind as a 225-horsepower monster in 2022.AdvertisementAdvertisementSince it's destined for public roads, the 002 is a bit more tame. Rather than offering the power-to-weight ratio of a Formula 1 car, the 002 produces (a still incredibly stout) 128 horsepower for its 419-pound curb weight. That power is sourced from a 1083-cc four-stroke water-cooled V-twin that sits within a rather exciting titanium frame. According to Aston Martin, the 002's frame is milled from a solid billet and weighs just 11 pounds—no wonder the whole thing barely crests 400 pounds. The construction allowed the brands to create an even 50:50 weight distribution.Aston MartinThe design is equally thrilling. The fairings are constructed from exposed carbon fiber and look fittingly sinister. Around the back of the bike, the twin exhausts are finished with ribbed heat sinks as a nod to Aston's lineup of sports cars, while the taillights serve as a direct homage to the rear lighting elements of the brand's hypercars. Each bike will be assembled by hand at Brough Superior's headquarters in France, with production remaining extremely limited. The entire run of AMB 002s will amount to just 300 units globally, with the first deliveries planned for late 2027.➡️ Skip the lot.
