A track-only superbike weapon that looked as if it was some combination of futuristic Adrian Newey-inspired race-spec lunacy, and a sleek, streamliner design of old.It was rare, it was expensive, it was a garage queen. That's not exactly a knock, as track-only machines tend to be garage-kept for most of their lives. But Aston Martin and Brough Superior apparently didn't appreciate no one seeing each other's hard work and engineering, as not only have the companies teamed back up for another motorcycle, they've actually made the AMB 002 Roadster street legal. Order books are now open, but Aston Martin and Brough Superior are keeping the price of the AMB 002 Roadster close to the vest, which likely means it's gonna be hella expensive. For reference, the AMB 001 had an asking price of about $120,000. If the AMB 002 Roadster is orders below that, I'd be shocked. My guess? $90,000 to $110,000. And the bike's specs back that belief up.Powered by a new 1,083cc four-stroke, water-cooled V-Twin, the street-legal superbike makes 130 horsepower and 81 pound-feet of torque. That, in combination with a wet weight of 418 pounds, and a 50/50 weight distribution, likely mean this motorcycle is a rocket ship when you twist the throttle wide open. And there's billet aluminum everywhere, along with a titanium frame, a 'Fior fork' front suspension, and all the necessary components to get this thing out on the street. Its design, however, is completely different compared to the previous AMB 001—there's no carry-over componentry from the original bike—and, according to the brands, takes inspiration from the group's "four-wheeled" compatriots.
