Its latest creation, however, has two wheels, weighs just 190 kg (419 pounds) and looks like it escaped from the set of a futuristic movie.Called the AMB 002 Roadster, the new machine was developed alongside Brough Superior. Aston Martin has worked with the motorcycle manufacturer before, but this time there's one major difference.The previous AMB 001 and AMB 001 Pro were track-only machines. It produces 130 hp and 110 Nm (81 lb-ft) of torque, with an emphasis on strong low- and mid-range performance suitable for road riding.The engine is housed within an unusual titanium backbone frame milled from a solid billet. The structure weighs only 5 kg (11 pounds), helping the complete motorcycle achieve its 190-kg curb weight and 50:50 weight distribution.Carbon fiber is extensively used for the body panels and fuel tank, further reducing mass and helping lower the center of gravity.Even The Suspension Is UnusualInstead of conventional telescopic front forks, the AMB 002 uses Brough Superior's double-wishbone Fior fork suspension. At the rear, blade-style lighting references the Vulcan, Valkyrie, and Valhalla, while handcrafted leather seat pads and a backlit ignition button provide a slightly more luxurious touch.Only 300 Will Be MadeAston Martin and Brough Superior will build just 300 AMB 002 Roadsters, with each motorcycle individually assembled.
