Image: AmpecoBy integrating a managed roaming provider, Ampeco aims to provide its customers with an additional pathway to scalability. The Plugsurfing integration is now available immediately for all eMSP customers in European markets, according to Ampeco. As part of the partnership, Plugsurfing will reduce operational complexity by managing relationships with connected charge point operators, consolidating monthly billing, validating charging session data, and providing standardised tariff data. With the integration of Plugsurfing, Ampeco is expanding its platform to offer three roaming approaches: for eMSPs, the managed roaming approach with Plugsurfing is particularly appealing if they want to provide their customers with extensive European charging coverage quickly without establishing their own bilateral roaming agreements with numerous CPOs. In contrast, the self-managed model allows providers to retain greater direct control over individual partnerships and conditions. The hybrid variant combines both approaches: broad coverage via Plugsurfing alongside direct connections to selected charge point operators.According to the two companies, the Plugsurfing charging network currently achieves roaming coverage of 78 per cent, while coverage for DC and HPC charging points exceeds 93 per cent. The network includes charge point operators such as Ionity, Tesla, Fastned and Allego. Ampeco says the network already comprises more than half a million charging points across Germany, France and the Netherlands alone. Across Europe, Plugsurfing claims to provide access to more than one million charging points overall.Stefan Ivanov, CRO of Ampeco, highlighted a growing demand for greater control over key business areas, including roaming strategy. “At Ampeco, we’re committed to delivering the right fit for each customer, and integrating one of the strongest managed roaming providers on the market gives many of our customers a seamless path to scale,” he concluded.ampeco.com, plugsurfing.com
