Announced for 2026 for the US market, the 2026 Honda Rebel 300 cruiser now comes with an E-clutch, with he model designation CMX300AC. Honda’s E-clutch, first released in the mass market with the Honda CB650R and CBR650R (RM47,999 and RM49,999 in Malaysia, respectively), allows for full clutchless use of the Rebel 300’s gearbox.
Positioned for the entry level rider, the Rebel 300 will only be available as a E-clutch model in the US market. Honda intends for the Rebel 300 as an entry point for customer looking to dip a toe into the excitement of riding, as well as riding schools such as the Motorcycle Safety Foundation courses.
Available beginning December, the Rebel 300 is priced at USD$5,349 (RM22,600) and is available in two colour schemes – Matte Black Metallic and Pearl Smoky Gray. In Malaysia, the Honda Rebel CMX500 is sold with a recommended retail price of RM33,899.
Power for the Rebel 300 comes from a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine displacing 286 cc. The Rebel 300 gets 25 hp and 23.86 Nm of torque, based on the specifications of the 2025 Rebel 300.
Power goes to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox fitted with Honda’s E-clutch and chain final drive. Wheel sizing is 16-inches front and rear, wearing 130/90 and 150/80 tyres, front and rear, respectively.
Braking uses single hydraulic discs front and rear, while suspension is done with telescopic forks in front and twin shock absorbers at the back. Seath height for the Rebel 300 is set at 690 mm, while weight is 171 kg, fully-fulled with 11.3-litres of fuel in the tank.
