Coming in as a wildcard entry at next weekend’s 2025 MotoGP in Sepang International Circuit (SIC) is Malaysian motorcycle racer Hakim Danish. The 18-year old from Terengganu will compete in the Moto3 class under Aeon Credit SIC Racing MSI Team.
Simultaneously, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between AEON Credit and ZK Racing, formalising a partnership for motorsports development through the Malaysian Motorsports Development (MDEV) Blueprint. The MoU aims to provide a structured pathway to develop two-wheel motorsports talent in Malaysia, in partnership with Ministry of Youth & Sports and SIC.
To that end, Aeon Credit AEON has contributed RM1 million towards Hakim Danish’s Moto3 wildcard debut as a first step. Azhan Shafriman Hanif, Chief Executive Officer of SIC shared, ”Hakim Danish is the first born of the development programme. We have seen him grow with us since he was 12 years old in SIC MiniGP Championship, and now, he will be on the MotoGP grid as proof that the ladder we built really works.”
The 2025 Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia 2025 takes place the weekend of October 24 to 26 at Sepang International Circuit. Tickets are available for purchase from www.sepangcircuit.com.
