The 1991 Ford Escort had much commonality with the Mazda Protegé underneath.

The GT was the top model and wore a prominent rear spoiler.

The Escort GT interior featured two-tone cloth seats, a five-speed stick, and crank windows.

The Escort GT's DOHC 1.8-liter engine was the uplevel offering. It made 127 horsepower and was built by Mazda.
