In the world of ultra-luxury bespoke vehicles, Polish tuning atelier Carlex Design has consistently pushed the boundaries of automotive coachbuilding. Their latest creation, however, elevates the Mercedes-AMG G 63 from a high-performance luxury SUV into a rolling piece of fine art.Dubbed the G-Stallion One of One, this breathtaking project is a singular, unrepeatable masterpiece slated for a highly anticipated world premiere at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) running from August 28 to September 6, 2026.Designed to cater to the ultra-exclusive Middle Eastern collector market, the G-Stallion is estimated to command an astronomical price tag of roughly $3.5 million. Rather than focusing on aggressive mechanical performance upgrades, Carlex has dedicated its resources entirely to heritage craftsmanship, traditional engraving, and unparalleled material quality. The undisputed centerpiece of the G-Stallion is its sprawling, intricately detailed roof. According to Carlex Design, over 3,000 hours of painstaking manual labor went into the roof alone. The process completely bypassed modern automated manufacturing, relying entirely on old-world coachbuilding techniques to create what the studio calls the "central artefact" of the build.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe roof began its life as a massive, flat sheet of raw aluminium. Artisans shaped the metal entirely by hand using traditional coachbuilding hammers and wooden bucks to form the vehicle's structural cap. Only after the foundational shape was perfected did the grueling relief process begin.Master engravers worked the metal line by line with traditional chisels, slowly bringing a magnificent portrait of a galloping stallion to life. To finalize the striking aesthetic, the artwork was meticulously treated with genuine silver, pale gold, and a deep black patina, creating a striking contrast that demands attention. An Equestrian TributeThe inspiration behind the staggering hand-engraved portrait is deeply rooted in Polish equestrian heritage. The centerpiece depicts Pogrom, a legendary purebred Arabian champion from the world-renowned Janów Podlaski Stud. Carlex stated that the vehicle was designed to capture the horse's character, focusing on strength held in balance and energy governed by discipline.Given the deep integration of equestrian themes, debuting the G-Stallion at ADIHEX is a calculated move. The massive Abu Dhabi exhibition celebrates hunting traditions, falconry, and equestrian culture, making it the perfect stage for a vehicle tailored to Middle Eastern collectors. The G-Stallion serves as a spiritual successor to Carlex's previous masterpiece, the One of One G-Falcon, a four-year bespoke build that also found its home in a prominent private collection in the Middle East.AdvertisementAdvertisementWhile the aluminium roof is the crowning jewel, the rest of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 has been thoroughly transformed to match its multi-million dollar valuation. The exterior of the G-Stallion features custom-expanded fenders and a bespoke body kit, all coated in a highly exclusive paint infused with real diamond dust for an unparalleled shimmer under the desert sun.Inside the cabin, the G-Class abandons its factory aesthetic in favor of warm, old-world luxury. Carlex draped the interior in rich, burgundy-toned patinated leather and premium Alcantara. The meticulous hand-engraving theme continues inside, with authentic metal interior parts and buckles receiving the same traditional chisel work found on the roof. Rounding out the lavish cabin is a custom wood-lined trunk floor, cementing the G-Stallion as one of the most intricately detailed bespoke off-roaders ever commissioned.
