The same goes for the top-spec EQS SUV and AMG S-Class.Mercedes-Benz is discontinuing two EVs and a plug-in hybrid from its 2027 U.S. lineup. The EQE Sedan is out of the picture completely. The casualties also include the most expensive version of the EQS SUV and the performance S-Class plug-in hybrid. The Mercedes-Benz EQE electric sedan is joining America's growing EV graveyard after the German automaker has decided to axe all trims from its 2027 U.S. lineup. The battery-powered E-Class alternative survived just three years stateside, where its sales figures have been lukewarm at best. Now, all EQE Sedan trims are out of the picture, including the hot AMG flavor, as confirmed by a company spokesperson quoted by Car and Driver. But the EQE Sedan isn't the only casualty.Mercedes-Benz EQE SedanThe opulent Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 electric SUV, which starts at an eye-watering $180,000, has also been discontinued in the U.S. for the 2027 model year. The rest of the EQS lineup, Sedan and SUV included, is still on sale.Last but not least, the high-performance Mercedes-AMG S63 E Performance plug-in hybrid sedan is not getting a 2027 model stateside, according to Car and Driver.
