Maserati Just Facelifted Almost Its Entire LineupMaseratiMaserati is making a loud entrance for the 2027 model year, with refreshed versions of its Grecale SUV, GranTurismo coupe, and GranCabrio convertible all rolling out on Thursday. But while the designs have certainly been updated, there's more to these facelifted models than just what meets the eye.The sports-luxury Italian wing of Stellantis has faced some controversy as the automotive conglomerate has undergone significant shakeups in recent months, but executives like Maserati chief operating officer Santo Ficili say the design-focused brand is here to stay. And Maserati's updated range is a testament to that, as the brand focuses in on a sharper look and more aggressive performance. By drawing influence from its flagship MCPura and GT2 Stradale supercars, Maserati has seemingly succeeded in increasing the presence and power of its core lineup.MaseratiThe Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio are two peas in a pod, representing the hardtop and convertible variants of the brand's bread-and-butter grand touring platform. But the pair has grown up for the 2027 model year, now featuring a gaping front grille with a visible intercooler through it. The rear end now has clear lenses over the taillights, while a central splitter increases front end downforce. Optional "Tridente" wheels in a striking gloss black hue join the mix, adding a 10mm increase in track width. The interior of the coupe and convertible sibling models has also been updated, with a new flat-end steering wheel, metallic shift buttons, and a renewed Maserati Digital Clock.MaseratiPerformance has improved for the 2027 model year, too. GranTurismo and GranCabrio Trofeo models retain their 3.0-liter, twin-turbo Nettuno V-6, which now offers 582 horsepower. That's an increase of 40 horsepower from the previous model year, though both models are also offered in detuned trims that bring the Nettuno engine down to 483 hp. Also new for 2027 is Maserati's "Country Mode," which raises the ride height by 20 millimeters but is only available on 483-hp versions. Beyond the visual changes for 2027, the electric GranTurismo and GranCabrio Folgore models remain mechanically unchanged, save for a new Max Range drive mode.AdvertisementAdvertisementMaserati's mid-size SUV offering, the Grecale, picks up unique visual changes for 2027 as well. Both ICE and electric versions of the Grecale feature new "shark-nose" front bumpers and a widened grille. New 20-inch and 21-inch wheels are also available, pushing the range figure for the Grecale Folgore EV as high as 268 miles. An octagonal steering wheel, the new Maserati Digital Clock, a 21-speaker Sonus Faber audio system, and metallic shift keys are all new inside the Grecale lineup, too.MaseratiThe Grecale is the entry model for Maserati's lineup, and there's a new, specially detuned Nettuno V-6 version of the SUV with 385 horsepower. The mid-level Grecale Modena and a 523-hp Grecale Trofeo round out the internal combustion lineup, while the Grecale Folgore offers 550 horsepower and 605 lb-ft of torque. Save for the same Max Range mode featured on the electric variant of the Grecale, the Grecale is mechanically identical to the outgoing model year. These updates represent the first major facelift on the revived GranTurismo and Grecale lineup since their launch in 2023. The upgrades come just one day after Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa denied speculation that Maserati was for sale, but admitted to Italian lawmakers that the conglomerate was looking to bring production partners to Maserati's Cassino and Modena factories. So it appears that these updated GranTurismo and Grecale lines may be sharing space with new vehicles soon...You Might Also LikeIf You Can Only Own One Car, Make It One of TheseThese Are the Most Popular Cars by State
