Called the Twerk Horse, the one-off Mustang RTR Spec 5-D is a 910-horsepower drift car developed around Hert's driving style and built to handle the punishment he puts his cars through.The project came together after a conversation between T-Pain and RTR Vehicles founder Vaughn Gittin Jr. Hert had been looking for a purpose-built machine that could cope with his aggressive approach to drifting without constantly suffering mechanical problems. Gittin has known Hert for almost 20 years, dating back to the early days of drifting, and the new car was created with that long relationship in mind.The timing of the gift made the project even more significant. Hert had recently lost his TwerkStallion in an accident, just weeks before receiving the new Mustang. Rather than simply replacing a damaged car, T-Pain and RTR created a machine specifically engineered around Hert's needs.AdvertisementAdvertisementPower comes from a Ford Racing Gen 4 Coyote Aluminator engine paired with a Whipple 3.0-liter supercharger. The combination produces 910 horsepower and sends its output through an Advanced Clutch Technology clutch, Holley Performance Quick Time bellhousing, and G-Force dogbox transmission. A Winters quick-change differential and one-piece carbon-fiber driveshaft complete the main drivetrain.Image Credit: RTR VehiclesThe Mustang also features custom BC Racing ER-Type two-way coilovers and RTR billet suspension arms, while Falken Azenis tires provide the contact patch for drifting. Supporting hardware includes a Radium Engineering fuel system, Ford Racing Gen 4 Controls Pack, Haltech electronics, BORLA exhaust, and an OPTIMA YellowTop battery.RTR gave the car an appearance just as personal as its mechanical setup. The Mustang wears an aggressive custom livery, RTR Spec 5-D carbon-fiber widebody components and wake towers, along with a collection of RTR exterior parts.
