Suzuki has unveiled upgraded versions of its kei cars in Japan. They are based on the flagship trims of the Super Carry and Every. The mid-engined models gain optional Hard Cargo accessories. Suzuki is best known abroad for models like the Swift and Vitara, but at home in Japan the brand also builds a fleet of pint-sized workhorses. The recently facelifted Super Carry kei truck and its Every kei van counterpart have just been given the rugged-accessory treatment, timed for the 2026 Japan Truck Show in Yokohama. The truck shown in Yokohama starts as a Super Carry X Limited, the range-topping trim, then layers on gloss-black accents, matching black steelies, and Mountain Trail decals along the flanks. The package is restricted to the extended-cab Super Carry with the taller roof. Power comes from a naturally aspirated 660cc engine making 50 hp (37 kW / 50 PS), routed through a selectable 4WD system with a differential lock. A roof rack that extends over the bed is the headline piece, designed to make hauling longer or bulkier gear less of a wrestling match. Suzuki Super Carry X Limited The Suzuki Every van also turns up in J Limited trim, which went on sale last year aimed at buyers chasing an outdoorsy lifestyle. Over a standard Every, the J Limited adds gloss-black bumpers and exterior trim, tinted LED headlights, side decals, and gunmetal hubcaps wrapped around the small steel wheels. Suzuki hasn’t spelled out the exact spec, but the catalog includes luggage bars along the cargo-area walls and a net rack mounted to the headliner. Power comes from the more potent turbocharged 660cc engine, rated at 63 hp (47 kW / 64 PS), with 4WD on the options list. Suzuki Every J Limited The genuinely useful detail is that any Japanese buyer can spec a car to match either show truck. A naturally aspirated Super Carry X Limited 4WD lists at ¥1,800,700 ($11,400 at current exchange rates), and the turbocharged Every J Limited 4WD lands at ¥2,132,900 ($13,500). The 2026 Japan Truck Show runs May 14 to 16 at Pacifico Yokohama. Alongside the kei pair, Suzuki will display the all-electric SUZU-RIDE2, the four-wheeled scooter first seen at the 2025 Japan Mobility Show. At 1,350 mm (53.1 inches) long, it is pitched as a way to make short urban trips less of a chore.
