subaru recalls 70 000 foresters for moonroofs that could fly off Subaru is recalling certain 2026 Forester and Forester Hybrid SUVs because the sliding moonroof glass may not be properly attached to the frame. According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the recall covers 69,663 vehicles. Subaru estimates that about 2.9 percent of them may actually have the defect. The issue involves the way the sunroof glass was bonded to the sliding frame. NHTSA documents say the problem is not with the adhesive itself, but with how it was applied during production. If the bond weakens over time, the glass panel could detach while the vehicle is being driven. Subaru says it is aware of three technical reports in the United States related to the issue. No crashes or injuries have been reported. Dealers will inspect the sunroof assembly for proper adhesion. If the glass panel does not meet Subaru's requirements, it will be replaced free of charge. Subaru notified dealers in late May. Owner notification letters are expected to go out July 24. Forester owners can also check their vehicle identification number through NHTSA's recall lookup tool. 2027 Porsche 911 GT3 S/C: All the Details
