2028 Audi A6 Allroad Revealed with Muscular StylingAudiAudi revealed the new A6 Allroad lifted station wagon today, showing off its handsome longroof styling. The new A6 Allroad is 4.3 inches wider than the Euro-only A6 Avant, and features the updated interior look seen on the latest A6 sedan.A spokesperson for Audi confirmed to Car and Driver that the new A6 Allroad will arrive in the U.S. sometime in 2027.Last year, Audi pulled back the curtain on the new sixth-generation A6. The sedan carried a higher price, but also brought more horsepower and standard features. While an A6 Avant wagon was also revealed for Europe, the United States was left out of the longroof party until now, with Audi unveiling the overhauled A6 Allroad station wagon.AudiUnsurprisingly, the Allroad's changes mostly mirror those given to the sedan. That means a sleek new exterior design, with the Allroad's standout feature being the wide fenders that remind us of the performance-oriented RS6 Avant. In fact, Audi says the new Allroad measures 4.3 inches wider than the Euro-only A6 Avant.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe new wagon also sits taller, thanks to updated Allroad-specific adaptive air suspension, which allows the A6 to ride 1.3 inches higher than before and gives it 2.2 inches of adjustable range.Changes to the Allroad's interior follow the sedan to a T. That means plenty of screens. The dashboard now houses an 11.9-inch digital gauge cluster, a 14.5-inch central infotainment screen, and, if you want, a 10.9-inch display for the front passenger. The European-market A6 Allroad was revealed with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and an optional 3.0-liter V-6 diesel hybrid, but we don't expect either of those powertrains to make their way over to this side of the pond. Instead, we expect the U.S.-market Allroad to sport the same 362-horsepower turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission that is found in the A6 sedan stateside.AudiThe new Allroad promises to drive better than before, too. Audi fiddled with the steering system, making every component between the steering wheel and the tires stiffer to make the steering feel more direct. Driving should also be more pleasant thanks to improved acoustics, with Audi improving the sound insulation and offering acoustic glazing on the side glass.AdvertisementAdvertisementAudi hasn't confirmed the A6 Allroad's exact arrival time yet, but a company spokesperson confirmed to Car and Driver that it will arrive sometime in 2027. While we don't have U.S. pricing yet, we do know that the European model will start at the equivalent of $89,659 based on current exchange rates. That number includes taxes and fees, though it still suggests a price hike over the current Allroad's $74,395 starting price in the United States.➡️ Skip the lot.
