We showed you a good look of the soon-to-be-launched Perodua QV-E from the Global Automotive and Technology Expo (GATE) 2025 today, but the EV wasn’t there alone. Perodua has thought of everything EV-related and will not be launching just the car. They’ve revealed the P-Circle ‘super app’ that will accompany QV-E owners (along with a smartwatch), and we’re now seeing the EV’s home charger for the first time. Perodua’s 7kW AC wallbox looks quite unique from many of the home chargers in the market, with a two-tone wood and black plastic finish. The charger’s long body has space for two Perodua logos and a prominent 6.0-inch touchscreen control panel. There’s also a 5MP CCTV camera on the top right corner, which will allow P-Circle users to monitor their car, and porch, in real-time. With the app, one will be able to control and set up scheduled charging. Below the camera is a vertical light bar, which will most likely light up in green when in use. Speaking of lights, the P2 logo is illuminated and there’s also ambient lighting that can be controlled remotely. Finally, the locally-made IP55-rated wallbox can be set-up for multi-user access via password or card. The place to tap the card is between the two Perodua logos. What do you think of the the QV-E’s wallbox? As for the car itself, we observed a few new details from the cutaway at GATE today. Find out more about the CATL-sourced 52.5 kWh LFP battery (yes, that’s the capacity), the homegrown platform that looks like an adaptation of the Myvi’s underpinnings and potential soft-touch materials for the dashboard (a Perodua-first) – all here. Possibly launching at the end of this month, PMX said yesterday of this ‘important national agenda’.
