Gasgoo Munich-UBTECH's Liuzhou industrial humanoid robot super smart factory started production on Sept 12, according to Gasgoo Embodied Intelligence. The facility can manufacture 10,000 humanoid robots annually. This signals that UBTECH's humanoid robot business moved past prototypes. It has entered an era of large-scale digital mass production. The facility spans 14,000 square meters. It primarily produces Walker S and Cruzr series industrial humanoid robots. The assembly line rolls out a unit every 10 minutes. Planned annual capacity exceeds 10,000 units.Image source: UBTECHUBTECH partnered with Siemens to build a digital manufacturing solution. This addresses pain points like complex components and high assembly precision. Using Siemens' Plant Simulation platform, they created a 1:1 digital replica of the workshop. This virtually models workstations, shelves, and AGVs. Simulating the process on a computer reduces on-site debugging costs. The process ranges from raw material intake to final shipping. This approach allows quick adaptation when scaling production. The companies co-developed a proprietary "smart brain" called the Yanshee MOM system. It manages the entire workflow. This includes production scheduling, material delivery, and warehouse monitoring. Each robot carries a unique serial number. This enables full lifecycle traceability of parts and batches. It also tracks assembly parameters and test data.Notably, robots here are not just the end product. They have become the workers themselves. Operating alongside human staff, they are making other robots.UBTECH's Cruzr Y1 and Cruzr S2 robots handle unstacking and palletizing. They also manage loading and transport, working with human operators. The facility moved away from traditional fixed assembly lines. Instead, it uses a flexible setup. This combines collaborative arms, manipulators, and logistics vehicles. It also features 360° rotating workbenches. This allows for rapid mixed-line production of models like Walker and Cruzr.UBTECH established a presence across industrial, commercial, and consumer sectors. In the first half of this year, total revenue was 1.27 billion yuan. This represents a 104.2% increase year-on-year. Total humanoid robot sales reached 16,123 units, up 268.3%. Revenue from full-size robots surged 1,445% to 590 million yuan. Sales of these larger models hit 921 units, a 1,946.7% jump.
