This is our first look at the all-new 2027 Nissan Rogue, forming an important part of the company’s new era and set to hit the market with its latest hybrid e-Power system. The new model will launch in the US and Canada later this year. While many key details of the new Rogue remain under wraps, it clearly stands out from the outgoing model thanks to a radical new design that makes it look edgier and more aggressive. Only time will tell if buyers will flock to it like the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Hyundai Tucson, but it certainly makes a statement. Positioned lower down are sharp triangular air intakes and a blacked-out area in the center of the bumper. For those who think the new RAV4 is bold, the 2027 Rogue takes things to another level. Hybrid Power A photo of the side shows pronounced lines and surfaces running along the doors, in a design somewhat similar to the Hyundai Tucson. As for the rear, it features a sleek gloss-black bumper, intricate LED taillights, and a full-width light bar. More important than the fresh new design of the Rogue is the fact that it will mark the American debut of Nissan’s e-Power hybrid system. This setup consists of a combustion engine that serves exclusively as a generator and is coupled to Nissan’s e-Power unit, combining an electric motor with an inverter, an electric generator, a reducer, and an increaser. Unlike some other hybrids, Nissan’s e-Power system drives the wheels exclusively with the electric motor, not the engine. Nissan hasn’t provided specifications for the e-Power setup that’ll drive the new Rogue, but it will likely be the same as the one used in the X-Trail in overseas markets, which includes a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine.
