Nissan is targeting a starting price of less than $40,000 for the new 2029 Xterra, according to a report from Automotive News. The relatively low price is part of the automaker's plan to sell more than 50,000 Xterras each year, Nissan Americas Chairman Christian Meunier said. The executive explained that Nissan wants to avoid overengineering the Xterra, which could push the price too high.
