Mini Countryman Untamed Racing the Rebelle RallyMiniMini has a storied rally history, and the BMW-owned brand continues to support motorsport through its current American Rally Association team. The Mini Countryman Untamed has just launched, but the automaker is about to enter another motorsport adventure with its new lifted crossover. For the first time, Mini will compete in the 2026 Rebelle Rally, which kicks off at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Thursday, October 8.The new Mini Countryman Untamed will compete in the 1500 mile off-road race with rally driver Felicia Killman behind the wheel and BMW Group Corporate employee Erika Ferrer navigating. Killman previously raced in American Rally Association events in a Mini Countryman JCW, while Ferrer earned three consecutive regional rally co-driver championships in Mexico and co-drove for rally champion Benito Guerra during La Carrera Panamericana.Erika Ferrer.Mini"Being part of Mini's first Rebelle Rally is an incredible opportunity, and now that we're at the starting line, the excitement is real," said Felicia Killman, Mini team driver. "We've put in the work to prepare for the terrain, the navigation and everything the rally can throw at us. Erika and I know there will be challenges along the way, but that's exactly what makes this experience so exciting. We're ready to put the new Mini Countryman Untamed Edition to the test and see where the adventure takes us."The Rebelle Rally races 1500 miles of the western U.S. using traditional navigation techniques, including maps, compasses, and road books. GPS navigation is strictly prohibited. Killman and Ferrer have prepared extensively in field training across dunes, rocky terrain, and other loose surfaces and practice in map-and-compass navigation.Mini"The Rebelle Rally is as much a test of judgment and teamwork as it is of the vehicle," said Erika Ferrer, team navigator. "Out here, every decision matters, from choosing the right line to staying on course when the terrain doesn't look anything like the map."The Countryman Untamed features a suspension lift, revised approach and departure angles, and a new off-road-focused tire and wheel package. Mini says the factory model is not intended for intense off-roading, but can manage any campsite-bound trail. However, Mini bolstered the Countryman Untamed for the Rebelle Rally with additions from Thule, Mini Tire Center, Pelican Cases, Morimoto Lighting, Heinlein Racing Development, and Peak Design."Bringing Mini to the Rebelle Rally for the first time is an exciting way to connect our motorsport heritage with the next generation of adventure," said Sean Green, vice president, Mini of the Americas. "Felicia and Erika bring very different experiences to the team but share the same passion for challenge and exploration. Their partnership makes this campaign especially meaningful as we introduce the Countryman Untamed Edition and show what the Mini spirit looks like when the pavement ends."If You Can Only Own One Car, Make It One of TheseThese Are the Most Popular Cars by State
