Mini has introduced the new Countryman Untamed Edition. Crossover features a lifted suspension and all-terrain tires. U.S. pricing starts at $43,900 and Americans will get two variants. The Mini Countryman lineup is expanding as the company has introduced a new Untamed Edition. It’s a slightly more rugged variant, which offers a touch more capability. Looking instantly recognizable, the model is distinguished by a unique grille that incorporates Dark Steel accents and vertical elements. The crossover is also notable for wearing a textured matte black protective film and an Untamed logo on the C-pillar. Elsewhere, there are modified side skirts and a revised diffuser. To help the Untamed Edition stand out, designers developed three unique colors known as Hideaway Grey, Nomad Blue, and Frozen Nomad Blue. The latter is the first matte paint job ever offered on a series production Mini. If those choices don’t float your boat, you can order Midnight Black or Nanuq White. While owners should steer clear of Moab, the Untamed Edition has a lifted suspension on certain variants. This includes all versions for Canada and the United States as well as electric variants in Europe. It provides an additional 0.7 inches (19 mm) of ground clearance thanks to the combination of lift and tires. Speaking of the latter, the model rides on special 19-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion All-Terrain Plus tires. Mini also equipped the crossover with underbody protection painted in Dark Steel. To spruce up the cabin, the off-roader has been outfitted with exclusive Nightshade Blue sports seats. They combined perforated Vescin upholstery with knitted upper sections and “Untamed” badging. We can also see Cornflower Blue contrast stitching and piping as well as specially developed Millennial Melange flourishes. The cabin also has Dark Steel accents, special floor mats, and a unique center console storage box inspired by adventure backpacks. To help sell the adventure theme, Mini teamed up with Autohome for a pop-up, A-frame tent. The company also partnered with Helinox for a set of folding chairs and camping tables. These are lightweight and have the same “distinctive design language of the Untamed Edition.” The Countryman Untamed Edition will go into production in November with deliveries scheduled to begin early next year. Depending on the market, the model will be based on the C, D, E, S ALL4, and SE ALL4 variants. In the United States, we’ll get versions based on the Countryman S ALL4 and Countryman SE ALL4. Prices for the Untamed Edition will start at $43,900, not including the $1,350 destination fee.
