Mercedes-Benz keeps talking about its biggest product launch cycle ever, and now we're seeing some results. Some of the coolest of the 30 it plans to reveal in the very near future have just leaked. Benz showed its dealers in the US and Canada models like the first-ever US-spec G-Class Cabriolet, and three brand-new GT 63-badged vehicles. Naturally, those dealers then immediately blabbed about all those, and a new Black Series to boot. Top Down Will Soon Be A G-Thing Mercedes-Benz At least one went straight to Automotive News to talk about the new models. One of the reveals was the new AMG G 63 Cabriolet, due for 2028. The G-Class Cabriolet wasn't exactly a secret, since Mercedes-Benz showed prototype photos late last year, but we know now much more about it.The report says that it will arrive with an AMG variant. The G 63 Cabriolet will get the 577-horsepower AMG 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, so even though the whole roof will be open it will still offer the full sound and fury of the G 63.It's been more than a decade since the last G-Class convertible, and that model was two-doors only and not sold in the US. No, we haven't forgotten the Maybach G 650 Landaulet, but that wasn't a Cabriolet. And it was on a stretched wheelbase.Production of this new model is expected to start in late 2027. We don't have a price yet, but don't expect it to be any cheaper than a standard G 63, which won't give you any change from $200,000. That's before dealer markups, too, because there's no doubt this open roof will be hot. Five New AMGs Including SUVs, Black Series, Mythos CarBuzz/Valnet The three AMG GT 63 models will be electric. The first is a low-slung coupe, the report says. We understand that's the AMG GT 4-Door coupe, the production car based on the AMG GT Concept XX. Mercedes has already started teasing that one, and it is going to be serious. With axial flux motors from YASA and up to 1,341 horsepower, the concept car has already set a handful of speed records. Those came from an eight-day run where the car drove 24,901 miles. That's enough to travel the equator.Another one will be a crossover. That one is expected later next year, and we believe it will be the AMG GT SUV that was recently spotted testing in cold weather in Sweden. The SUV has the same interior as the coupe, and likely the same power, but in a package that's easier to get in and out of, with more cargo space and headroom. And of course, plenty of AMG style and performance.Mercedes-Benz The final one will be what is described as a "sporty, sloped-roof utility variant." That doesn't sound like the mini G that Benz has been working on. Instead, it sounds like Mercedes-Benz is planning to build an SUV-coupe version of the AMG GT SUV.That should be a model like its GLC and GLE coupes, which take the higher-riding SUV body but then cut off much of the cargo space. The result is a sleeker vehicle and a more stylish profile, but still has some benefits of an SUV with a higher ride height and space for driver and passengers. The 4-Door will get a 400-mile range, the report says. The SUV coupe will get at least 300 miles. They won't get gas versions, or at least Benz isn't telling dealers yet if that is happening down the road.Last but absolutely not least are two new AMG halo-model gas cars. One is referred to as the AMG GT Black Series. It brings back an older name from the brand's performance lineup for a new go-fast car that could be the send-off to the gas GT. The other is a CLE that will make 646 hp. Just 30 will be built; we believe this is the Mythos car that we saw images of in January.
