The KMG Torres received a mid-lifecycle update in Korea. Mild exterior updates are combined with an overhauled cabin. The gasoline version gains a new gearbox and terrain modes. KG Mobility has updated the Torres for the Korean market, four years on from the SUV’s debut. While exterior changes are subtle, the SUV benefits from important updates inside the cabin, focused on the digital and physical interface. Visually, the front end gets a revised bumper with horizontal slits and an aluminum-style finish across the center section. It ties in with the updated front and rear skid plates, which now look a little more polished without losing the rugged intent. KGM has also added a new five-spoke design for the 20-inch alloy wheels, along with a fresh Plasma Shadow paint option. The 2,680 mm (105.5 inches) wheelbase carries over unchanged. Stepping inside reveals more substantial upgrades. The headline is the return of physical climate controls, which replace the touchscreen panel that used to live on the center console. They sit alongside a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display, up from 9 inches, running the new Athena 2.5 software, with a matching digital instrument cluster of the same size. KGM has also fitted dual wireless charging pads, USB Type-C ports throughout, and a more capable suite of driver assistance systems. Cabin trim is offered in black, brown, or gray. KG Mobility Under the hood, the Torres keeps its gasoline and hybrid powertrain options. The carry-over turbo 1.5-liter T-GDI four-cylinder makes 168 hp (125 kW / 170 PS) and now pairs with a new eight-speed automatic, retiring the aging six-speed unit. Drive goes to the front wheels or all four, and the 4WD version picks up a Terrain mode selector with Sand, Mud, Snow & Gravel settings. It pairs a turbo 1.5-liter engine with dual electric motors and a 1.8 kWh battery, driving the front axle. KGM also sells the fully electric Torres EVX, which gets its own distinct styling. The facelifted KGM Torres is already on sale in Korea, priced from ₩29.05 million (equal to $19,300 at current rates) to ₩36.51 million ($24,200), marking an increase compared to its predecessor.
