However, after Gotion became a shareholder in InoBat, control of the initiative transferred to the Chinese company, whose largest shareholder is Volkswagen. In return, Gotion supports VW in developing the Unified Cell and its serial production.Specifically, the two projects in Valladolid involve a total investment of €944.3 million. Gotion plans to construct two facilities: one for battery cathode production and the other for battery recycling.
