It was clarified that An Conghui will focus on a few tasks. During the 2026 interim results conference, An Conghui shared some details about Geely’s overseas production ambitions, Jiemian reports. The new chairman of Geely Automobile reported that Volvo plants in Europe will become an important base for Geely’s local strategy. They will undertake the production of high-end vehicles within the Geely Automobile ecosystem. The mass production is expected to kick off in 2028. Geely Automobile Holdings currently controls Geely, Geely Galaxy, Zeekr, and Lynk & Co brands. Another electric vehicle manufacturing plant is being constructed in Slovakia. It targets mass production in early 2027. So, Geely Automobile will have three facilities to choose from. The production of two Geely-branded models will also kick off in 2028.
