Forza Horizon 6 leakers were reportedly hit with bans lasting nearly 8,000 years. One of the most visible players involved says he bypassed it almost immediately. The modder claims he plans to continue posting gameplay videos. As of this writing, Forza Horizon 6 still isn’t technically out, but that didn’t stop several folks from playing a version that popped up online early. According to one of the most notable who allegedly played the game and posted clips, the ban hammer came down hard and fast. And then he evidently sidestepped it and kept on racing. Here’s how Forza 6 led to a nearly 8,000-year ban and how the player treated it as unseriously as that figure is to begin with. It’s unclear exactly how a leaked version arrived online, but YouTuber DVS Squad decided to enjoy it well before the May 19 release. They also posted clips online of the game and largely praised it despite not playing it at full quality. Then, a week ago, they received a message in their online portal. “Suspended for Cheating/Unallowed Modding,” read the subject line. That’s right, a full 7,973 years from now. Seems a bit extreme given the nature of the ‘violation.’ That said, DVS Squad wasn’t dismayed. “Yall think i care about a ban?? 😭😭 Ill be back online unbanned on an alt tonight 😮‍💨” DVS Squad Sure enough, that seems to be what he’s doing at this point, navigating the ban without much of a slowdown. “I’m free to play online as much as I want, and there’s nothing they can do to really stop it,” he said, according to Polygon. And that’s kind of the key here. This isn’t some random fan who stumbled upon the game file. It’s a person who is highly adept at navigating the backend code of the game. He also made it clear he isn’t done posting content, saying he plans to upload additional gameplay and trolling videos in the future. Playground Games had not publicly commented on his claims at the time of reporting. It issued a blanket statement that it would go after those who played the leaked version early.
