(NewsNation) — Ford is warning owners of nearly 16,000 Transit vehicles not to drive them due to potential brake failure.The "do-not-drive" advisory affects 15,982 model-year 2025 Ford Transit vehicles in the United States.According to Ford, a brake pedal cotter pin and retainer clip may not have been installed during assembly at the Kansas City Assembly Plant.Without the cotter pin, the brake booster can loosen and, under heavy braking, potentially disconnect from the brake pedal.
