Ford has partnered with Seattle's foremost luxury outdoor outfitter, Filson, for a new special-edition, outdoor-oriented Bronco (as if the Bronco could be more outdoor-oriented). In a first for the Bronco, the SUV gets a bit more luxurious inside, too. The special edition will be coming to an REI parking lot near you early in 2027.FordView the 3 images of this gallery on the original articleFilson's contribution to the Bronco is largely visual, though one big item stands out: Ford says that in light of Filson's dependable, slightly luxury-leaning, rugged ethos, it decided to help make the Bronco a more luxurious experience. New airflow, updated acoustic glass, and updated seals on the Bronco Filson help reduce road noise significantly. It's the Bronco's biggest problem as a vehicle (recalls notwithstanding). Ford says the new special edition "reduced the perceived wind noise nearly 20% versus the 2021 Bronco."AdvertisementAdvertisementOther Filson-flavored updates include a unique front fascia that's a bit more blocky than the vanilla Bronco. The mirror caps and wheel arches are also painted on Bronco Filson models, while new automatic running boards make getting in and out easier. Other changes are largely found inside, like the new digital mirror, which Ford says it intended to help out when you've filled the SUV to the brim with gear.Other changes inside feel more Filson than Ford. The storage bags are made with "water- and dirt-resistant materials." They have magnets to keep everything inside. There's lots of leather too, which is another big upgrade to the Bronco's interior feel. The quilted leather seats have fabric accents and are, for the first time, ventilated. The dash is wrapped in leather with brass accents, too. The back seats are heated, and, like the Raptor, Ford fits each with the upgraded B&O sound system.FordView the 3 images of this gallery on the original articleSpeaking of the Bronco Raptor, that's exactly what's living under the hood. The twin-turbo V6 gets unique tuning this time, but should still make the same 418 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque. The remote reservoir Fox shocks also get unique tuning. The one thing Ford doesn't make mention of is pricing. Bronco Raptors start around $80,000, so expect similar pricing given all the luxury upgrades. This story was originally published by Men's Journal on Jun 4, 2026, where it first appeared in the News section.
