Maserati GranTurismo Folgore Gets Huge Price CutMaseratiMaserati is cutting the price of the GranTurismo Folgore and GranCabrio Folgore by a massive amount. The 2027 models will cost $141,995 and $152,195, respectively, a discount of around $57,000 compared to the 2026 model year. The 2027 models wear revised front-end styling and eke out a bit more range than before.Earlier today, Maserati revealed the 2027 GranTurismo and GranCabrio models, which have been refreshed with a new front-end design that mirrors the look of the MCPura supercar. Now Maserati has released pricing for the 2027 model, and the electric Folgore variants will receive huge price cuts when the updated models go on sale sometime in the next few months.MaseratiThe 2027 GranTurismo Folgore will start at $141,995, and while that is still a lot of money, it represents a massive discount from 2026, when the electric grand tourer required a hefty $199,690. The GranCabrio Folgore saw a similar drop, with the 2027 model starting at $152,195, down from $208,590 in 2026.AdvertisementAdvertisementThe price cuts of $57,695 and $56,395 for the GranTurismo Folgore and GranCabrio Folgore, respectively, are some of the biggest downward year-to-year changes we've ever seen. And while Maserati didn't extract any extra power out of the tri-motor setup in the Folgore models—751 horsepower is already plenty—the company did say that the 2027 models will get over 250 miles of range, up from 242 miles in the 2026 model.MaseratiThe price cuts are likely due to low sales for the electric variants. Maserati doesn't publish sales data, but Automotive News reports that the automaker shipped fewer than 8000 cars globally last year. Automotive News also reports that just 35 GranTurismos and 41 GranCabrios have been registered in the U.S through the first four months of 2026, and we would expect the majority of those to be powered by the Nettuno V-6 engine instead of the Folgore's electric powertrain.Maserati will hope that the price cuts can garner more interest in their electric grand tourers, but the brand might also need to take more drastic steps to stay afloat. According to Automotive News, Maserati is in talks with two potential partners, which Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa said "can bring us technology, development and excellent ideas." Meanwhile, Motor1 reports that Maserati will likely hybridize the Nettuno V-6 in the future, although it's unclear when this change will come.'➡️ Skip the lot.
