Gasgoo Munich-Gasgoo has learned that BYD's Linghui brand officially launched its first spacious, pure-electric mid-size sedan, the e7, on April 15. The official guide price ranges from 95,800 to 115,800 yuan, with five configurations available. The new model is designed to balance the needs of ride-hailing fleets with those of family daily drivers.Image Credit: Linghui AutoIn terms of size, the Linghui e7 measures 4,780 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and 1,515 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm. Unlike the BYD e7, this model features Linghui-specific badges on the front and rear, while the charging port has been relocated from the front right fender to the rear right side.Under the hood, the Linghui e7 runs on a front-mounted single motor available in 100 kW and 130 kW outputs. It utilizes Fudi's lithium iron phosphate Blade battery, engineered for a cycle life of 600,000 kilometers to match the demands of commercial operation. Buyers can choose between CLTC range ratings of 450 km and 550 km. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a wide-temperature heat pump air conditioning system to help cut energy consumption in winter.On the charging front, the flash-charge variant of the Linghui e7 incorporates BYD's second-generation Blade battery technology. Official figures indicate the battery can charge from 10% to 70% in just five minutes, and from 10% to 97% in nine minutes. Even in extreme cold of -30°C, the charging time increases by only three minutes compared to normal temperatures.
