The Breakdown The car started life as a standard 2022 BMW M4 Competition before its transformation into a Ute. There's just 7,500 miles on the odometer. The asking price is $145,000. The BMW M4 Competition certainly delivers driving thrills worthy of the Ultimate Driving Machine tagline. One owner thought it could stand to do a little more heavy lifting, though, and transformed the coupe into a two-door... truck. More specifically, this would be classified as a ute. What's a ute? Think El Camino, Ranchero, or many of the great offerings our friends in Australia hold so dear. A Ute is typically any form of car-based pickup truck. The build comes from DinMann, which builds carbon fiber parts for many BMW models. This particular project is dubbed the M4 Maloo. And you can buy it—the owner wants $145,000 for the car truck. This M4 features more than just its amazing body transformation. According to the Instagram post above, the BMW has also been fitted with upgraded turbos, a carbon fiber intake manifold, and upgraded exhaust. Though the asking price is high, the car is supremely awesome. A bone stock BMW M4 Competition xDrive doles out 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. This one should produce a healthy bit more than that. Factor in the added lightness of the truck conversion, the xDrive AWD system, and the upgrades, and this M4 Ute likely rips off 0-60 mph dashes well under the three-second mark. Those numbers will climb should you be hauling lumber back from Home Depot. Motor1's Take: Unique builds like this BMW M4 always catch our eye. This particular one appears to be very well built with smart upgrades and tremendous style. The asking price is definitely high, but you're not likely to run across another one out on the road. BMW should start building these for the Australian market. We want your opinion! What would you like to see on Motor1.com? Take our 3 minute survey. - The Motor1.com Team
