Brabus is getting into yachting thanks to a new partnership with AB Yachts. Model will debut at Monaco Yacht Show and be followed by another next year. Automotive tuner already has two other boating collabs with Axopar and Sunreef. Brabus has expanded beyond cars as they’ve dabbled in everything from boats to luxury real estate. In fact, they’re working on an entire island that combines extravagant homes with elegant lifestyle spaces for those who want to live life “BRABUSIZED.” While everyone with taste just rolled their eyes, the company has announced a new strategic partnership with AB Yachts. The collaboration will spawn the world’s first Brabus yacht, scheduled to debut at the Monaco Yacht Show this September. A second world premiere will then take place at next year’s show. More: Brabus Shadow 1500 Has Three V8s And No Wheels Details on the upcoming models remain thin, but Brabus said they’ll “bring together two distinctive worlds of performance, innovation and design, translating the luxury brand’s design DNA and its Brabus Masterpiece philosophy into a new kind of high-end yachting experience.” The company went on to say customers can expect the “highest level of style-forward elegance, confident high performance, and detail-driven craftsmanship.” Marketing hyperbole aside, the companies released a dark teaser image that shows a swoopy yacht with a sloping roof and an expansive greenhouse. They’re joined by flowing bodywork, a relatively short rear deck, and a small swimming platform. The rest of the Brabus variant is still under wraps, but AB Yachts’ parent company says they build “jet-propelled yachts for smooth, silent cruising with no vibrations, at speeds exceeding 50 knots (58 mph).” The company offers an assortment of models ranging from the 25.4-meter (83 feet) AB 80 to the 39.65-meter (130 feet) AB 130. The latter can accommodate up to 12 guests and five crew members. Brabus CEO Constantin Buschmann remarked, “As we continue the journey of Brabus Marine alongside our partners AXOPAR and Sunreef Yachts, this collaboration opens up a completely new dimension for us – bringing together our design, our love for bold design, individuality and detail with the incredible expertise of AB Yachts.”
