Entering the Malaysia scooter market is Peugeot Motocycles, under the aegis of Aveta International. A distributor agreement signing ceremony was earlier held to formalise the agreement between Peugeot and Aveta with an official market debut inn the first quarter of 2026. For the Malaysia market, Peugeot Motocycles will position itself as a premium commuter scooter. Peugeot currently manufactures its Metropolis, XP400 and Pulsion models in France, while the Django Classic and Speedfight scooters are manufactured in China and Vietnam. 67% of Peugeot’s current production is intended for overseas sales, with plans including expanding into the South-East Asian market, supported by the establishment of Peugeot Motocycles flagship stores across key regions. Aveta currently distributes a range of two-wheelers in Malaysia, including the Vanguard and Nova scooters, Ranger Cub-Cross and Marvel 150 minibike, as well as the VZR 250 sports bike and SVR180 super moped.
