With a 2.88-liter twin-turbo V8 and electric motors, the 21C delivers 1,233 hp. This special example is finished in a stunning shade of metallic purple. Contrasting the purple paint are gold anodized wheels and carbon accents. All too often, companies come along with big claims that they’ll build the next great exotic to rival the Europeans, but it turns into vaporware. Alongside the Hennessey Venom F5, the Czinger 21C is one of the rare few hypercars to be designed in America that has actually become a reality and started reaching the hands of customers. Czinger currently sells two versions of the 21C, the standard model and the Vmax, and this latest 21C Vmax looks every bit as special as anything from Pagani or Koenigsegg, except it’s made right here in the United States. Handed over by Czinger’s partner in Miami, Prestige Imports, this is the first 21C we’ve seen painted purple from the company’s Liquid series. Not everyone likes purple, especially not on a car, but we think it looks fantastic on something like this. Photos PrestigeImports / CzingerMiami The individual who specced this car avoided the trap of excessive exposed carbon fiber across the body, opting for a color-matched front splitter and rear diffuser. Admittedly, there are some carbon parts, including on the front cowl, near the headlights, and across the rear fascia, but it’s really the paint that dominates. Elsewhere, the car sits on a set of anodized gold wheels with center locks and carbon fiber rims to keep the weight down. The colorful parts continue into the cabin, where the backs of the bucket seats are finished in the same shade of purple. There’s also a combination of purple, white, and black leather throughout, as well as loads of carbon fiber. As For Power… Like the most track-focused 21C, the Vmax uses a 2.88-liter twin-turbocharged V8 delivering 950 hp, supplemented by a pair of electric motors for a combined 1,233 hp. Adding to the car’s extraordinary performance is that it weighs under 2,733 lbs (1,240 kg) dry, so it boasts a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio. None of that performance comes cheap. Both the standard 21C and the Vmax open at $2.36 million, but by the time most buyers finish speccing their cars, transaction prices land closer to $3 million. And that’s before anyone dips into the more elaborate bespoke commissions Czinger is happy to entertain. Photos PrestigeImports / CzingerMiami
