While most American cars are only gaining in size and mass, some brands still hold down the fort by offering compact models. Despite the majority of Americans believing trucks and SUVs are too large now, their sizes continue to increase. Mini is an unusual exception to this unspoken rule. It was originally a British brand that feels more at home on the streets of London than it does on the United States' wide-open highways. Now, it's owned by the BMW group with headquarters in Munich, Germany, but that's beside the point. However, if you live in or near a city, most of these models could be a practical solution to tight city parking and tricky maneuvers. There are five standard 2026 Mini models, or eight when separating some standard models from their John Cooper Works variants - think about the Cooper Hardtop 2-Door and the Cooper Hardtop JCW 2-Door. That said, here's the current Mini lineup for the 2026 model year.Specifications are sourced directly from the manufacturer. Prices are correct at the time of writing, and exclude destination, options, taxes, and other potential fees set by dealerships. Automakers reserve the right to change pricing at any time without notice. We list Mini models by price from cheapest to most expensive. 2026 Mini Cooper Hardtop 2-Door Base Price: $29,500 2025 Mini Cooper HardtopThe 2026 Mini Cooper Hardtop in a two-door configuration is the only Mini that still starts under $30,000. The era of cheap new cars might be coming to an end, but Mini tries its best with this compact model. The Cooper 2-Door doesn't really have much competition, either. Some people would say it rivals the all-new Kia K4 hatchback, but this Mini is unique with only two doors. Nevertheless, there are two main versions to choose from. Ignoring the JCW (we'll get to that later), buyers can choose between the Cooper C and the Cooper S. Both have the same engine, but the C has less power and a slower 0–60 sprint, while the S gets 201 horsepower. 2026 Mini Cooper Hardtop 4-Door Base Price: $30,500 2025 Mini Cooper Hardtop 4-doorFor an extra $1,000, buyers can get another set of doors. The next new Mini in line, as far as price is concerned, is the Cooper Hardtop 4-Door. This model is still a subcompact hatchback, but features more room for cargo and passengers than the two-door variant. It's also available in two trims, the C and the S; both versions use the same 2.0-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine that we'll see powers the vast majority of Mini's lineup. The C, the model's cheaper trim, makes a meager 161 horsepower, while the S is boosted to 201 bhp. Both are still enough for city driving, but don't expect a sporty experience. 2026 Mini Cooper Convertible Base Price: $34,600 2025 Mini Cooper Hardtop ConvertibleWhile it's fundamentally the same as the standard fixed-roof model, the Cooper Convertible is a fun way to enjoy the sun and feel the wind in your hair as you cruise along the beach. It's a modern rendition of a classic formula. This Mini is still relatively affordable, with the Cooper C Convertible starting at $34,600, but comes with plenty of comfort features. Even the base model is equipped with heated front seats - a feature that some luxury brands still charge extra for (or, in BMW's case, charge you a monthly subscription to use). Like the other two Cooper models we talked about, this one is powered by the same engine with the same outputs for each trim level. 2026 Mini JCW Cooper Hardtop 2-Door Base Price: $38,900 2024 Mini John Cooper Works HardtopNew Mini cars start to get more interesting when you reach the John Cooper Works Cooper 2-Door. Here's the deal with JCW: these variants are fun, sporty cars, not necessarily sports cars. In this model's case, it uses the same 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder, and it gets tuned for 228 brake horsepower, but it's still slow. What makes this model worthwhile, though, is its handling around corners and tight canyon roads. Think about it like a Mazda Miata; it's small and weak, but when you actually drive one through a canyon, you'll realize how much fun it really is. Plus, when it weighs so little, it doesn't need much power. 2026 Mini Countryman All4 Base Price: $38,900 2025 Mini CountrymanMini isn't just about its Cooper models. If you need a slightly larger model to carry adults and more cargo around, the Countryman All4 is available. This compact SUV has some more direct rivals, including the BMW X3, Volvo XC40, and the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class. We wouldn't really call any Mini model a luxury car, but it's premium enough to take a swing at the top. That said, it's not all that cheap, either. The Countryman All4 is only available in one trim that starts at $38,900. It uses the same powertrain as Mini's smaller models, but this time, it has a tune for 241 brake horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. 2026 Mini JCW Cooper Convertible Base Price: $44,600 2025 Mini Cooper John Cooper Works ConvertibleWe're not done talking about Mini's smallest models yet, because the John Cooper Works Convertible is still available. It takes everything you love about the regular convertible's open-roof experience, and ties it together with JCW's handling and increased power output. Like usual, this model still has the same 2.0-liter engine, but it's tuned for 228 horsepower. One might imagine a tiny car like this would be affordable, but combining comfort features, a convertible roof, and sporty handling means this model starts at $44,600 before destination charges and options. 2026 Mini Countryman SE All4 Base Price: $45,200 2025 Mini Countryman SE ALL4Perhaps the most unique model in Mini's lineup is the Countryman SE All4. This version of the automaker's popular SUV bodystyle is full-electric, and actually comes with more horsepower and torque than any other Mini on sale today. It might just be a family-oriented two-row compact SUV, but its dual motors give it standard all-wheel drive with enough traction to launch it to 60 mph in just 5.4 seconds - that's nearly as rapid as the brand's quickest model. Power aside, it's also a practical and comfortable model with features like a panoramic glass roof, heated front seats, heated side mirrors, and more. 2026 Mini JCW Countryman All4 Base Price: $46,900 2025 Mini John Cooper Works CountrymanThe most expensive new Mini model on sale for the 2026 model year is the John Cooper Works Countryman All4. Yes, even the brand's SUV gets a JCW variant. It has some different rivals than the standard model, too, including the Alfa Romeo Tonale and the Mercedes-AMG GLA 35. Astonishingly, this version still uses the same 2.0-liter turbocharged engine as the rest of the gas-powered Mini models, but it gets a relatively impressive tine for 312 brake horsepower. With that much power, it's the quickest model in the lineup. It might not handle as well as the smaller models, but it's no slouch with JCW-tuned suspension and other upgrades.Sources: Mini
