There was a time when Chinese motorcycle manufacturers produced only low-powered, electric scooters for local consumption. But now, they are all in with models fitting every niche and sub-niche. Brixton is another such manufacturer, adding an adventure bike called the Brixton Storr 500. Launched during the Mforce Lou Sang Dinner 2026 to herald the Year of the Horse, the Storr 500 is another offering for Malaysian motorcycle enthusiasts. It is now available at official Mforce dealers nationwide from RM29,888, not including road tax and insurance. The price includes the three large aluminium cases seen in these pictures. There are three colour options, namely Black, Green, and Yellow. Main highlights 486 cc, 2-cylinder, 4-stroke, 8-valve, liquid-cooled engine, with a 68 mm bore x 67 mm stroke, and 10.7:1 compression ratio. It delivers a maximum power of 46.9 hp (35.0 kW) at 8,500 rpm and 43 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. The lubrication system utilises pressure splash lubrication. Fuel delivery is managed via BOSCH EFI. Power is first routed through a multi-plate wet clutch, then over to a 6-speed transmission, and finally a chain final drive. The 16-litre fuel tank provides the range for long-distance travel. Handling is enhanced by KYB inverted forks with adjustable damping, and a KYB hydraulic center monoshock with preload adjustment at the back. Front suspension travel measures 180 mm, while the rear offers 71 mm. The braking system consists of disc brakes at both ends, with a Ø320 mm disc up front and a Ø240 mm disc at the rear. The brakes are supported by switchable dual-channel ABS. The Traction Control System (TCS) offers four selectable modes that ties in with braking: TCS On, ABS On TCS Off, ABS On TCS On, ABS Off TCS Off, ABS Off Brixton Storr 500 rides on Pirelli tyres, sized 110/80-19 at the front and 150/60-17 at the rear. Overall dimensions measure 2,171 mm in length, 916 mm in width and 1,432 mm in height. The Brixton Storr 500 features a seat height of just 830 mm, wheelbase of 1,441 mm, ground clearance of 200 mm. The manufacturer lists a curb weight of 209 k, while providing a maximum load capacity of 359 kg (which means you can carry everything except the kitchen sink on your tour). The bike is equipped with a 7-inch TFT display (in vertical orientation), USB Type-A charging port, mechanical key system, side stand safety switch and full LED lighting including headlamp, tail lamp, turn signals and hazard lights. Additional equipment includes LED spotlights, a windscreen and a 12V 8Ah Gel battery. For smart connectivity, Brixton Storr 500 supports Bluetooth functionality, enabling incoming call notifications, voice call functions and screen mirroring, as well as compatibility with Carbit Ride third-party application for a more interactive riding experience.
