Volkswagen says that the move has been made "in recognition of the name's popularity and heritage."Both the California and Caravelle get a redesigned front end with LED headlights which are now larger than before. The headlights are also connected by a glass-covered strip which, on certain grades, is also illuminated. Below the headlights, you'll find a redesigned bumper with larger air intakes.AdvertisementAdvertisementA revised list of colours has also been included, with new two-tone finishes available in shades such as white and brown, white and red and new Indium Grey matte.Inside, both California and Caravelle models get a revised digital cockpit display with new menus, while a larger 12.9-inch infotainment system comes equipped in all models. The gear selector has moved to the steering column, too, freeing up additional space.Caravelle models now get a new seating configuration, with eight-seater models gaining a layout which allows two groups of three to sit facing each other in the back of the vehicle.Both the California and Caravelle will also be available in a special edition specification called 'Generation' which brings a high level of standard equipment alongside a Candy White and Sunset Red Metallic paint scheme, which is reserved exclusively for this grade.Further pricing and specification details are expected to be announced shortly.
