That paperwork is what collectors have effectively been buying alongside the modern upgrades. The GTR and GT will have none of it. It does mean their collectibility will rest on a different kind of documentation, one Jensen International hasn't had to produce before. Chassis numbers will start at one. Build records, specification sheets, and factory-verified production counts will need to exist from the very first customer car, the way established marques document their own limited runs, because there's no donor-car paperwork to fall back on. How rigorously Jensen International builds that record now will determine how easily the first GTR and GT owners can prove what they own a decade from now.What Serious Buyers Should Watch ForFor collectors actually considering a build slip, several questions matter more than the horsepower figure. First, production caps: has Jensen International committed to a fixed, published number for the GTR and GT, or will the run stay open-ended? Open-ended tailored production has worked for the Interceptor R because each car is visibly tied to a unique original chassis; it's a much bigger question mark for a clean-sheet car with no such natural limit. Second, specification documentation: because every car can be tailored to the buyer, no two examples will be identical, which makes factory records, not just a chassis plate, essential to verifying exactly what a given car is.
