Further details on the European market launch are to be announced in the coming months.The standard version will be the first variant offered in Europe, with a range of around 550 kilometres on a single charge. By comparison, Tesla quotes an estimated range of up to just over 800 kilometres in the US for the longer-range variant.Tesla first unveiled the Semi in 2017, with production originally scheduled to begin in 2019.However, the company repeatedly postponed the launch, citing factors including the need to prioritize battery production for its Model 3 car.Large-scale production got under way in April this year in the US state of Nevada.
