Source: PolarisWe've long been following along with Polaris' "Tough Doesn't Quit" video series, always watching in awe as different stories are chronicled with ATVs and UTVs as the backdrop. For the latest installment, Polaris takes its storytelling talents out to Hawaii to visit Maui Nui and learn about living off the land.Maui Nui Venison manages the invasive axis deer population in Hawaii, using the fruits of their labor as a sustainable food source that they use to help give back to the community. Without the work that Maui Nui does, the land would be overgrazed by the axis deer, which in turn could mean harmful effects to the ecosystems from erosion and other factors.Working in the brutal terrain and sometimes at night, the Maui Nui Venison team uses Polaris Ranger UTVs as the backbone for its operations, helping them get over the steep hills and lava rocks that litter Hawaii. It also means their operations can be more tightly controlled, and that through the Holoy Program they can donate 10-12% of their axis deer supply to the local community, which in turn has made for almost one million donated meals. It's an organization worthy of Polaris' attention, and the video is worthy of your watch time.
