Chinese lidar manufacturer Seyond announced today that its cumulative lidar deliveries have surpassed 1 million units, making it the third domestic lidar company to achieve this milestone, following Hesai and RoboSense. Of the 1 million units delivered, the high-performance Falcon platform has cumulatively delivered over 750,000 units, while the Robin platform, which covers long-range and mid-range wide-angle applications, has delivered over 250,000 units. Seyond’s cumulative lidar deliveries exceed 1 million units. It should be noted that the Falcon platform, as Seyond’s flagship product line, uses 1550nm fiber laser technology. It can achieve a detection range of 250 meters under 10% reflectivity, with a maximum range of up to 500 meters, and a resolution of 0.06°×0.06°. It is the world’s first automotive-grade high-performance lidar to achieve mass production and vehicle integration. Since entering mass production with the NIO ET7 in 2022, this platform has undergone large-scale validation of over 700,000 units. The Robin platform is Seyond’s key focus for development after 2024. This platform includes the long-range forward-looking lidar Robin E and the mid-range wide-angle lidar Robin W. The former has a detection range of 250 meters and power consumption of only 6W; the Robin W, as a wide-angle blind-spot-filling radar, offers a field of view of 120°×70°, forming a complete “forward-looking + blind-spot-filling” perception matrix together with the Falcon. The NIO ES8 is equipped with Seyond’s lidar products. According to official data, as of December 31, 2025, Seyond has secured project orders from 18 OEMs and ADAS/ADS companies, including NIO, SAIC Volkswagen, GAC Group, Shaanxi Heavy Truck, Foton Motor, Plus, DeepWay, Inceptio Technology, and Pony.ai, covering over 60 vehicle models. According to the latest data from Gasgoo Auto Research Institute, in the first two months of 2026, Seyond ranked third in China’s passenger vehicle lidar market with a market share of 16.4%. Beyond the automotive business, Seyond is actively expanding its second growth curve in the era of “physical AI.” In 2025, the company sold 31,800 lidar units in its pan-robotics business, a year-on-year increase of 948.5%, generating approximately 130 million RMB in revenue, accounting for 12.3% of total revenue, with gross margins significantly higher than its automotive business. In the smart transportation sector, Seyond’s lidar has been deployed on more than 15 fully automated metro lines in China, and has cumulatively delivered over 1,000 units in scenarios such as port locks and bridge collision avoidance. According to official data, in the first quarter of 2026, Seyond achieved approximately 181,400 units shipped, a year-on-year increase of about 340%. Among these, the Falcon platform accounted for approximately 65,500 units, up 90% year-on-year; and the Robin platform accounted for approximately 115,600 units, up 1,594% year-on-year. Based on its current robust order backlog and delivery system, Seyond expects its total lidar shipments for the full year of 2026 to grow by approximately 200% compared to 2025.
