Design and Dimensions The new electric GLC showcases Mercedes-Benz’s design language. The front fascia features a signature retro-style shield grille embedded with 942 individual light units capable of a “breathing” illumination effect. The micro-LED headlights feature daytime running lights that display the iconic Mercedes-Benz logo. The vehicle measures 4,933 mm in length, 1,914 mm in width, and 1,710 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,027 mm. Powered by the MB.OS system, it introduces a virtual assistant named “Xiao Ben” (meaning Little Benz in Chinese) that integrates the Doubao AI large model. The interior features 64-colour ambient lighting that syncs with 10 dynamic wallpapers. Audiophiles will appreciate the standard Burmester surround sound system with Dolby Atmos. The vehicle will be available in both 5-seat and 6-seat configurations, with all seats offering heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Performance and capability Equipped with an 800V electrical architecture, the high-end “Gilded Edition” 5-seater features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system. It delivers a combined power output of 310 kW (416 hp). The 85.5 kWh battery pack provides a maximum CLTC range of 703 km, with fast-charging capabilities allowing a 10% to 80% charge in 22 minutes. The chassis is engineered for comfort and agility, incorporating the S-Class-derived AIRMATIC air suspension and ADS+ damping technology, which automatically adjusts based on road conditions and map data. Additionally, the vehicle features rear-wheel steering with a maximum angle of 4.5 degrees. Intelligent driving The electric GLC is equipped with Momenta’s intelligent driving system. It supports advanced features such as urban and highway pilot assist, trace-back reversing, and automatic lane changes without navigation.
