Magnus Walker rose to prominence in the Porsche scene in the 2010s. With a look more akin to a rock star, including long hair and a big beard, he was the opposite of the stodgy image usually associated with classic car collectors. Now, the legendary car customizer is selling off 162 lots from his collection, including several vehicles, an extensive array of spare parts, and various collectibles. RM Sotheby's is running the auction online from Wednesday, March 18, through Wednesday, March 25.Among the items for sale, there are 16 cars available that run the gamut of classic Porsches, with the newest of them being a 2004 911 GT3. There's also what RM Sotheby's is selling as a 1968 Porsche 911 Urban Outlaw Starter Kit, which is a vehicle in pieces but with everything you'd need to assemble your own Magnus-Walker-style rat rod. Magnus Walker's Porsches For Sale RM Sotheby'sOne of the more eye-catching vehicles at auction is a 1967 Porsche 911 S (pictured above), which is offered without reserve and is expected to bring $150,000 to $200,000. Walker has owned it since 2009.Check out The Drop at our companion site HotCars for a chance to win the Vyper Elite Trio Package, a premium set of garage chairs! When Walker bought the car, it had 911 Turbo fender flares welded onto the body. He had them removed and outfitted the vehicle to look more like a late-1960s track car. The previous owner also increased the displacement to 2.3 liters, up from the original 2.0 liters, and installed short-ratio gears. The body now has a racing-inspired appearance that includes a red hood, 67 roundels, and sponsor stickers behind the front fenders. The car rides on 15-inch Outlaw Fifteen52 wheels. Inside, there are vintage Ultra Shield racing bucket seats with red tartan inserts.According to Porsche's records, the company completed this car on December 6, 1966. It originally had a Silbermetallic silver body and black vinyl interior. The amenities included a Webasto heater, Catacolor glazed window glass, and a Talbot sideview mirror. The first owner purchased the car on February 1, 1967, from Porsche Cars Distributors of Culver City, California."In essence, it’s a sport-purpose, streetable, R-inspired lightweight track car, while still retaining some great original details, like the brass chrome–plated horn grilles. It lives somewhere between a ’67 S, a Trans-Am car, an L, and an R—very much its own thing, with a lot of character."- Magnus Walker What Else Is Available?
